Week 1 - Homework

Hi everybody! Since we don't have class this coming week, I've changed up the assignment schedule a bit by splitting it in to two parts. 

Please make a photograph that utilizes each rule of composition (one photograph for each rule, 5 total each week) and post it to the blog, with the rule labeled beneath.

Here is the breakdown:

Week 1 (posted by 10/4):

1. Rule of Thirds

2. Balancing Elements

3. Leading Lines

4. Viewpoint

5. Background

Week 2 (posted by 10/11):

6. Symmetry & Pattern

7. Depth

8. Framing

9. Cropping/Get Closer

10. Experiment

Also, write a brief statement (one paragraph is enough) telling me your photo experience, why you are taking this class, and if there is anything in particular that you would like us to go into more detail about over the course of the semester. 

Just email this to me--no need to post it to the blog. This is due by 10/4.
