Photo Essay: Gabriel
I decided to shoot my best friend Gabriel during a sleepover we had. We have been a huge part of each others lives for the last three years, both supporting each other no matter what. When I first met Gabriel he was very sick, and it was really hard to be friends with him because he was so destructive. Now he's a year sober and I couldn't be more proud, I cherish every moment I spend with him knowing that this is the real him. We always have crazy sleepovers and go out at night and take pictures and explore the city so I wanted to capture all the fun times we have had together because we are both ridiculous.
Week 2 Homework - Demi Pena-Chavez
This is my favorite photo from our shooting trip in Union Square. I like this photo because it reminds me a lot of fall and it feels very seasonal. I also really like the colors of the corn and the texture, as well as the pumpkins in the background. This uses the patterns and symmetry technique.

Semester Series - I am thinking about doing a photo shoot of women and girls and show how their bodies actually are, to go against the unrealistic beauty standard society gives women and girls.
