Ahmedabad Gujarat 1966
Ahmedabad kite flying festival. The entire population spent all day from dawn until late at night flying kites from rooftops. It captures the feel and attitude of the event rather than exactly what happens at the festival since the kites are not in the image. The pointed rooftop almost acts as an arrow pointing your eyes from the bottom of the image up. Also, the pointed edge and the convex roof draws my eyes closer to the people flying kites who are at the highest point.
