Our theme/story was people on their phones and how everyone is disconnected from the world around them.

photo series picture

As I said in my other post, for my series I'm thinking of starting with pictures of flowers, nature, textures, and other things of that sort. The topic is really broad so I'm going to try and narrow it down to one specific thing or meaning, but I have no clue what it is yet. I was hoping to get a sense in the critique.

picture based off of one at MOMA

Nan Goldin's "Self-Portrait In A Blue Bathroom, London."

This is what I took based off of Goldin's photograph. I initially wanted to paint the"alone" on a mirror and take a picture of the mirror with the bathtub reflecting in it, but the frame didn't fit the bathtub so I improvised. Goldin's photo feels lonely and creepy to me, so I tried to give my picture the same effect. I also think that the blue tint in her picture relates to the blue wall of mine.

first post of photo series

I'm thinking of doing a photo series of nature textures, plants, flowers, rivers, and natural earth beauty but I'm not sure. These are just shots I took that I ended up really liking, and putting together.
