Long Exposure

Not sure if this counts as long exposure, but here's a picture from my photo series that I'm not using. I took it tonight on ISO 1600, F22+, bulb shutter.

I took pictures of this one tourist. It was super easy to find her in the crowd and she made it easier on me to take pictures of her because I acted like a tourist as well. 

Feedback Picture

So I'm totally not using this an excuse but I have very little time to take pictures this weekend. I will post a better one tomorrow, as my friends are coming over. The same friends that were in the other pictures; I decided to do a light photo series on them, since they work well with each other and are really good at being subjects.
For my feedback, I was told that my pictures weren't bad like I had thought, but the people ones were better. I also got feedback to try new settings. So here are three people in a pool with sparklers! I'll take better ones soon because this one is not good. See ya in my next post :,)

Self Portrait

I made this necklace when I was going through a really tough time. I wear it almost every other day, if not everyday. It makes me feel proud. Like how after a surgery you can show your scars to show yourself that you made it through. This is my scar.

Light Painting

Right so disclaimer. I was experimenting a lot tonight with the light and the bulb shutter. I honestly truly hate all of these pictures, so none will be used for my series. I planned on shooting more outside, but tonight it was thundering so that's a big no. I  also have trouble getting the straight lines that I want. Like my flashlight just ends up painting the entire screen. I'm thinking about getting glow sticks and asking people if I can tape them to their bike or skateboard or shoes. Then, I'd have them do the activity and see how the photo turned out. Tell me your thoughts because I really don't like this idea. I just have nothing else. I'm super bad at figuring out creative ideas. I just like to execute them. So lemme know please!!

Photo Series + Questions!

So my face is actually in all of these but the first one. You can't really see it unless you highlight the image, so maybe I just have to go into Camera Raw and fix some things. But I would rather just get better lights. Jeremy or anyone who has experience with light painting: What is the best kind of light for these photos? I wanted to try glow sticks, but they seem too dim. I also am thinking that I want my subjects to be old toys of mine, to represent my childhood.
