Tomorrow's Class

Hey Everybody--

We have a slight programming change for tomorrow, so I just wanted to remind you to be sure to bring your cameras with you! I know you will have them anyway, since I reminded you to bring them last week, but I want to make sure that you come prepared since we WILL be shooting tomorrow.

Leila's First Critique Photos

The theme for my project is the conjuncture of nature and man/architecture in New York City

Here is a new picture I took for my photo series last Sunday with a model. I decreased the grain when I edited the photograph and I experimented more with blending the subject into the background to carry out my main theme.

My project was based around the concept of anonymity. My pictures revolve around a subject being "anonymous" or lacking an identity in society or in their surroundings. I've been portraying this in a series of black and white images.

Immy, I mentioned Irving Penn's "Corner Portraits" wheree he would make a cornerr in his studio and ask his subject to do what they liked while he photographed them. Here is a small selection of them, with more to see here.
