Week 2 Homework

Sally Mann, Warm Springs
Hi everybody!

Great job this week--I'm really impressed with the portraits you all shot during class.

Everyone should be all set with posting to the blog, so if you haven't yet posted last week's assignment, be sure to post it before next class.

This week, we started looking at manual exposure, starting with ISO and shutter speed. For this week's assignment, you will be using the "Shutter Priority" mode on your camera ("S" or "Tv" on the command dial on top of your camera). If you are comfortable working in full manual, you can use the manual setting instead.

Please post the following pictures:

1-An image that shows blurred motion

2-An image that shows frozen action

3-Your choice

Pick a different subject for each image. Make sure to caption the image with the exposure (ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture).

In addition, keep shooting everyday and start to think about what topic your semester project will be on.

For next week's class, be sure to come to class with metro card fare so we can get out and shoot if the weather is nice enough!

See you next week!
