I was drawn to the photo "Nan on Brian's Lap, Nan's Birthday, New York City" due to the contrast between their expressions. Her smile and her body language around him seems positive, accompanied by her smile, while on the other hand his expression looks somewhat annoyed, bleak, or out of it. He fails to give any regard to her and reciprocate the body language she provides him.
I took this photo of my two friends in a similar pose, because the first thing I realized is that I felt as if it could be applied to certain social situations or relationships where one person more is feeling more upbeat. Also where one is more invested than the other, and the other isn't reciprocating the same emotion back. This could also be applied to a social situation where one is ignorant of the other (which can also be related to "Buzz and Nan at the Afterhours" shown below.
