Tomorrow we will be taking a field trip to the International Center of Photography. Please be on time and do not forget to come with MetroCard fare.
Today we looked at street photography, exposure and how to shoot in manual mode. We went to Greenwich Village to shoot street images.
On to tonight's homework...if you haven't already, please post the following:
1--A candid portrait of a stranger, as well as a portrait shot after you interacted with a stranger
2--Working in Aperture Priority Mode (Av or A on the dial) and Shutter Speed Priority Mode (Tv or S on the dial), shoot photographs that show each of the following:
- Blurred Motion
- Frozen Motion
- Maximum ("deep") Depth of Field
- Minimum ("shallow") Depth of Field
Pick subjects that really show off these settings to good effect. Make sure that you pick the best ISO for the situation.
Additionally, please shoot and post an image that depicts "night". This is entirely open to your own interpretation.
Finally, please go through yesterday and today's blog postings and leave comments and feedback for your classmates.
If you have any questions about any of this, please get in touch.
See you tomorrow!
