This is a picture of myself backstage at the first musical I performed in my sophmore year. Growing up I was told that I was very creative and when others would ask I what I wanted to do when I got older I would say I'd want to be an artist. A lot of people told me that it was impractical and how difficult it would be to become succesful in that sort of career field. As a result, when I entered high school I shifted my focus to science and math. It was interesting and all, but sophmore year I was failing chemistry and trigonometry and I felt really lost. Auditioning and being able to perform in this musical really got me back into the arts; I started exploring more, I drew more, I wrote more, I took art classes, film classes, stagecraft--everything. And now I'm here. c:
