That's it for Week 2! We are almost finished. It's hard to believe.
We're on the home stretch. Next week we'll be taking a couple field trips and looking at some new tools and techniques, but for the most part we'll be concentrating on putting together your final edit and video for the exhibition.
Now for this weekend's homework:
- Building on the feedback you got from your peers, continue shooting for your series and your video project. This is the last block of open time you'll have for working on your project, so use it well. You should have most (if not all) of your video footage captured by the end of the weekend.
- Begin writing the first formal draft of your artist statement and email it to me before Monday's class. This should be more structured than your last writing. Don't worry about it being perfect--we will be going through two rounds of revision after this to get it in perfect shape.
- Complete the Week 2 Project: Self / Reveal (Self Portrait) project to share in class on Monday. This should be a tight edit (minimum 3, maximum 5). Have them sorted into a folder and ready to view at the start of class--there won't be time for you to work on them in class.
- Finally, complete and post any homework assignments you may have missed. Anything not posted by the start of Monday's class will be considered not done.
As always, please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, need any feedback, or run into any trouble with your projects. See you next week!
